Simplicity Signs Chevron for Gorgon Gas Project
With our local partners CEA (Cranes and Equipment Asia), Simplicity has been tasked with the full design and implementation of the IT infrastructure for both Free Trade Zone One (FTZ1) and Free Trade Zone Two (FTZ2) marshaling yards in Thailand.
Along with 24 hour helpdesk and onsite field engineers, Simplicity has developed robust and flexible solutions to service the needs of the myriad workers, from all over the world, housed in the free-trade zones.
These marshaling yards are for the massive equipment held under strict quarantine procedures as part of the $65 Billion Gorgon Gas Project.
Gorgon is a story of energy and the environment as well as technology and expertise.
It is one of the world’s largest natural gas projects and the largest single resource natural gas project in Australia’s history.
The Gorgon Project will develop the Gorgon and Jansz/Io gas fields, located within the Greater Gorgon area, about 130 kilometers off the north-west coast of Western Australia.
Gorgon is seen as a test case for oil companies to show they can go into ecologically sensitive areas and extract oil and gas without negative impact on the environment and habitat in sensitive environments.
